Whether I'm in New York or Paris, I never feel sorry for choosing these 5 sophisticated outfits.
Tiffany Reid is currently an editor in residence at Who What Wear, a fashion executive, freelance stylist, and brand consultant. Previously, she held the position of senior vice president of fashion at Bustle Digital Group. Recently, she introduced a YouTube series titled Tried + True, where she guides viewers through the newest trends. Each fashion season presents a fresh challenge in getting dressed. My style has consistently balanced spicy with sophisticated, allowing me to experiment while remaining true to my identity. I’ve always embraced bold fashion pieces but ensure my looks maintain a polished edge. My wardrobe balances luxury and high-street fashion, merging statement items with everyday essentials. When I shop, I gravitate towards elevated items or those with thoughtful details. Once I identify that perfect piece, I’m quick to make a purchase.
Over time, my approach to fashion moments has markedly changed. I now pack with intention, curating each outfit thoughtfully rather than on a whim. Since starting to travel for collections, I plan complete outfits ahead of time and photograph them before I leave home. My packing process is now more streamlined; I take just the right number of outfits based on my schedule, avoiding excess baggage. The demands of motherhood and running a business have shifted my priorities, leading me to appreciate ease without compromising style. When dressing for shows, my aim is to stand out in a way that garners the right kind of attention: the “Where did you get that?” rather than the “What are you wearing?”
I have an old-school editor mentality in that I used to always wear the designer I was attending to see at a show. However, my focus has now shifted to reflecting mood and personality—whether it’s that of the creative director or the ambiance of the fashion house. One day I might wear something avant-garde for Sacai, and the next day opt for a quieter luxury at the Hermès show. Interestingly, this season, I found myself matching the color schemes of the shows I attended—maybe it’s intuition, or perhaps I’ve done my research. Regardless, fashion has evolved for me from simply keeping up with trends to curating a narrative that resonates with who I am. Below are my favorite looks from this fashion month.
Preppy Schoolgirl
For the Off-White show in NYC, which took place in an actual school, I chose a preppy-schoolgirl style. The layered sweater, skort under a miniskirt, and kitten heels added a nice balance to the playful silhouette. Classic collegiate colors pulled the whole outfit together, aligning perfectly with the theme.

Primary Colors
In light of the debut of the new creative directors at Loewe, I, like many others in the industry, felt uncertain about what to expect, so I embraced the brand's quirky energy. I experimented with a combination of bright, bold colors, anchored by rich brown tones acting as a neutral base. By limiting my color palette to two strong shades, I maintained cohesion, and a sweater tied around my waist provided an additional colorful accent.
