Regardless of whether I’m in New York or Paris, I never regret donning these five sophisticated outfits.
Tiffany Reid is currently an editor in residence at Who What Wear, a fashion executive, freelance stylist, and brand consultant, having previously held the role of senior vice president of fashion at Bustle Digital Group. Recently, she launched a YouTube series called Tried + True, where she guides viewers through the latest trends. Each fashion season brings the challenge of getting dressed afresh. My style has consistently blended a spicy edge with sophistication, allowing me to experiment while remaining authentic. I’ve always embraced bold pieces, ensuring I add a polished touch to my outfits. My closet exists at the intersection of luxury and high-street fashion, where standout items coexist with everyday essentials. When I shop, I’m drawn to anything elevated or thoughtfully designed; once I identify such a piece, that’s typically when I make my purchase.
Over time, my approach to preparing for fashion moments has significantly changed. I now pack with more intention, selecting each look with care instead of acting on impulse. Since I’ve been traveling to view collections, I plan complete outfits in advance, even taking photos of them before I leave home. Now, my packing process is more streamlined, consisting solely of the exact number of outfits I need according to my schedule, eliminating any excess. This saves time and helps me avoid the chaos of overpacking. Motherhood and entrepreneurship have adjusted my priorities, teaching me to appreciate ease without compromising on style. Naturally, when dressing for shows, the aim is to stand out, but in a way that garners the right sort of attention: the "Where did you get that?" as opposed to the "What are you wearing?" type.
I consider myself an old-school editor in that I used to dress solely for the shows I was attending, often wearing the designer that was being showcased. Nowadays, my choices reflect mood and personality, influenced by the creative director’s vision or the fashion house's ambiance. One day I might dress avant-garde for Sacai, and the next in quiet luxury for Hermès. This season, I even found myself matching the color palettes of the shows I attended; it could be intuition, or perhaps I’ve simply done my research. Regardless, fashion has become less about chasing trends and more about curating a narrative that feels true to me. Here are my preferred looks from this fashion month.
**Preppy Schoolgirl**
For the Off-White show in NYC, I chose a preppy-schoolgirl aesthetic, which was fitting as it took place in a real school. The layered sweater, skort underneath a miniskirt, and kitten heels provided a subtle balance to the playful silhouette. Classic collegiate colors unified the look, keeping it chic and perfectly thematic.

**Late-Night Fringe**
At the Public School anniversary party, I aimed to wear a standout piece that still felt timeless, incorporating an old-school New York vibe. The fringe enlivened the look, as if it were designed for a lively night of music and dancing. I kept accessories minimal to allow the dress to shine on its own.

**Cotton-Candy Queen**
To the Miu Miu show, renowned for its playful essence and surprises each season, I wore this ensemble. The whimsical sweater delivered a sense of joy, nicely complemented by classic staples like dress shorts. The overall feel was effortless, combining light-hearted energy with timeless pieces.

**Primary Colors**
With the debut of the new creative directors at Loewe, I, like many other editors, found it hard to predict what to expect, so I embraced the brand's quirky energy. I experimented with a mix of bright, bold colors, anchored by deep brown tones that served as a neutral foundation. By limiting the palette to two vibrant hues, I maintained a cohesive look, and a sweater tied around my waist added an extra splash of color.
