Chic Parents from Tokyo to Paris Reveal Their Effective Daily Outfits
What Moms Wear showcases the outfits, style, and dressing routines of fashionable mothers in the most stylish cities worldwide. From dropping off kids at school to dressing for work and enjoying a night out, we highlight trendy women—balancing young children and impressive careers—and explore their favorite destinations, activities, and outfits in their cities. As the mom who notices what other parents wear during school pickups, my background as a fashion editor has fueled my curiosity about the brands, style choices, and aesthetics that busy parents (both mothers and fathers!) are drawn to. I find it intriguing how our clothing styles vary based on our location and profession. For instance, while ALO leggings, Donni pants, and Birkenstock clogs are prevalent at my children's school in Santa Monica, I suspect that the preferred brands and clothing choices during school drop-off in cities like Madrid or Tokyo are quite different. This curiosity led to the creation of our new series, What Moms Wear. Each month, we'll feature fashionable mothers from various cities with exciting careers—both in fashion and other fields—as they discuss their dressing philosophies and share insider insights about their favorite local spots. From coffee shops they frequent after school drop-offs to enjoyable activities with their kids or their favorite date night destinations, this series aims to inspire through remarkable parents, locations, and outfits.
To kick off our newly launched Parents Issue today, I'm thrilled to present four exceptionally stylish moms from Los Angeles, London, Paris, and Tokyo—women I’ve admired for a long time, each with impressive jobs and inspiring styles. Read on to discover more about these incredible moms and their local recommendations.
