Top Wardrobes in Britain: Rochelle Humes

Nestled in an nondescript office building in the center of Hampstead, you can discover the tranquil workspace of Rochelle Humes, who transitioned from pop star to broadcaster, author, and entrepreneur. On a cloudy Wednesday morning, the Who What Wear UK team was warmly received, greeted by the aroma of a Cire Trudon diffuser and a spread of fresh pastries prepared for our cover shoot with the versatile talent. Her showroom, meeting area, and podcast studio feature soft plaster-pink walls, boucle sofas, velvet armchairs, and a selection of luxurious scented candles, all paired with minimalist homeware that fosters a cozy yet tidy atmosphere. We were fortunate enough to interrupt her day for a few hours before her busy afternoon filled with business meetings and, naturally, the school run. Humes rose to fame as part of pop groups S Club Juniors in her teens, and later, The Saturdays. Fast forward to 2025, and she skillfully juggles primetime TV presenting roles, brand ambassador and modeling work, writing best-selling children's books, hosting the weekly podcast Ladies Who Launch, collaborating with high-street brand NEXT on a seasonal clothing line, and managing her award-winning children's hair and skincare brand, My Little Coco. And this is merely the beginning! Her boutique talent management and branding agency, The RH Group, has recently collaborated with industry giant WME, a partnership poised to propel her brands, broadcasting endeavors, and business ventures (with her husband, Marvin Humes) to greater heights. Outside of her professional life, Humes is a genuine fashion enthusiast with exquisite taste. We sat down to discuss her personal style and how it aligns with her workweek demands. As she walked me through her carefully curated wardrobe rail, it became evident that she prefers a classic and polished aesthetic—think abundant blacks and chocolate browns, minimalist shapes with a contemporary flair, versatile separates reminiscent of suiting, and investment bags and shoes she knows will be long-lasting. We delved into her style journey, her current favorite fashion brands and beauty essentials, as well as her daily routine and inspirations. Read on for our exclusive interview along with her current wish list, which you can also shop.

Thank you for hosting us, Rochelle! Growing up on the outskirts of London, how did that shape your style? I think the area had a diverse mix. I was born in East London, which had a very "street style" vibe, and then we moved to Essex, where everything was quite glamorous. I’ve always been in the middle ground, and I guess that's where my style influences originated.

What is your earliest fashion memory? I used to raid my aunt’s wardrobe! She always had a fantastic collection of clothes, and I liked to watch her get ready and assemble outfits. I learned a lot about classic dressing from her.

Rochelle wears a Miu Miu cardigan, The Frankie Shop skirt, Prada glasses, and Victoria Beckham heels. How would you describe your current personal style, and how has it evolved since your youth? I would say it’s definitely classic. It’s more elevated now, but it’s not drastically different from what I liked as a younger person. I aim to feel both feminine and strong. These days, I’m leaning towards a capsule wardrobe—something elegant and refined.

If we were to explore your wardrobe, what might we find? An abundance of black and neutral shades.

Rochelle dons a Magda Butrym coat, Khaite boots, and a The Row bag. How do hair and beauty influence your experimentation with your looks? I usually decide on my outfit first, then consider the beauty aspect. My hair is generally kept casual, and I prefer my skin to have a natural appearance.

Indulge us: what is a fashion faux pas you wish you hadn't made? Oh gosh, there are certainly several! I’d say wearing loud colors or bright patterns. In the girl group, we each wore different colors—it was all about that “more is more” mentality. It was fun, like dressing up, but sometimes that influenced my personal wardrobe a bit too much.

What luxury fashion brands do you adore, and are there any new labels you’re excited about? I love Miu Miu, The Row, and Saint Laurent. I recently attended the Magda Butrym spring/summer 2026 show and I'm a big fan of hers. I've also been wearing a Ukrainian brand called Kulakovsky a lot lately; it's fantastic.

You attended Paris Fashion Week recently. What inspires you most about the city? Everyone there looks incredibly chic, even when they’re just grabbing coffee. It’s all about simplicity—the effortless hair, minimal makeup, and lots of trench coats. Even the everyday Parisian woman seems like she stepped out of a mood board.

Who are your all-time style icons, and are there any women, past or present, whose wardrobes you'd love to explore? So many! Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's wardrobe
