Today, however, the high is only 50 degrees, although many recent days have averaged around 60 degrees, which makes choosing an outfit challenging. It isn't cold enough for a coat, but wearing just a T-shirt will leave you chilly, while a sweater may feel comfortable in the morning but too warm by noon. Fortunately, Dua Lipa, who has recently been in NYC, has the perfect outfit to address these tricky fall situations, which I've noticed gaining popularity in 2025. The outfit I’m mentioning consists of a flannel plaid shirt layered over a T-shirt paired with jeans and boots (or another footwear style). Specifically, Dua Lipa wore a yellow plaid shirt over a white tee, styled with straight-leg jeans, a Western belt, and black heeled boots. If you start to feel warm throughout the day, you can easily tie the plaid shirt around your waist—a styling technique that became quite popular this fall. This ensemble is ideal for a 60-degree day and can also be layered with a coat or jacket, making it suitable for the colder months ahead.
