This stylish outfit is ideal for Paris, but I'm planning to wear it in the Midwest and New York City.

      While browsing Instagram this afternoon, I came across a look by one of my favorite content creators, Felicia Akerstrom. The first image is incredibly chic, showcasing an outfit she wore in Paris, and as I continued to scroll through the gallery, the entire ensemble really resonated with me. Of course, I had to share it with you.

      Though it may seem simple, the focus on elevated basics (i.e., items I wear often) makes the look both easy and striking in a modern, effortless way. Akerstrom chose a long trench coat, a grey sweater draped over her shoulders (perfect to put on if it gets a bit cooler), straight-leg blue jeans, loafers, and reliable accessories.

      While I won’t be visiting Paris any time soon (I wish), I do plan to head to New York City in a few weeks, and since I’m currently in the Midwest, you can bet that I’ll be putting together my own version of this outfit while I’m out and about. The refined and simplified nature of this look is perfect for when you want to appear polished without too much effort.
