If you've spent any time online, you're likely familiar with the common saying among East Coast residents from November to March: "Are you actually from New York? Do you own a big, black puffer jacket?" Sure, we may have puffer jackets, and while they aren't all big and black, they certainly stand out. Enter the beloved Aritzia Super Puff, the internet's go-to winter jacket. Originating from Vancouver, this jacket is designed to withstand harsh winds and frigid temperatures, but it's become a favorite among the New York crowd. Adored by influencers, college students, and daily commuters, the Aritzia Super Puff has transformed into a symbol of both warmth and style. It’s more than just outerwear; it serves as a social statement. Spotting one on the subway often reveals the coffee order of its wearer. Its shiny finish and enveloping shape have become synonymous with winter fashion, blending utility with the effortless cool that Aritzia has mastered. Yet, with countless puffer options available and a rising trend of look-alikes appearing on TikTok, the question lingers: does the Aritzia Super Puff truly deserve the accolades? **Nikki's review:** I've never liked puffer jackets because I haven’t found one that feels stylish to me. Each winter, my friends rave about their Aritzia jackets being lifesavers, especially during the coldest months in NYC. I typically brush off their comments, favoring my elegant long wool coats. However, after hearing that this winter in NYC is predicted to be particularly freezing, I started searching for the coziest yet chic winter jackets. I ended up on the Aritzia Super Puff page, where I discovered The Super Après Puff and instantly fell for it. This version is the shortest of all the puffers, so while it won't keep my lower half warm, it will certainly keep my upper body cozy, and it has a refined look that's perfect for someone who cares about their appearance. The mock neck collar, which buttons fully to create a stylish funnel neck, and the matte fabric contribute to its sleek design. I also love the fleece-lined pockets that warm my hands without gloves and the cuffs with thumbholes for added comfort. Though it's not winter yet, I've already worn it on several 40-degree mornings, and it's been a lifesaver. I can confidently say this jacket is about to become my go-to.

**Ana's review:** I might have a bias, but as someone from Florida, my most prized winter piece is my Aritzia Super Puff. Years ago, I bought the Aritzia Super Puff Long jacket and, since moving to NYC, I've worn it almost daily in winter, resulting in some wear (including a few holes and stains since it's a lighter color). So I was eager to try the Aritzia Super Puff Mid. Being taller, I wanted a jacket that extended slightly beyond my hips without feeling like I'm wrapped in a marshmallow. I ventured to SoHo to ensure the Mid style was the right length, and it hits perfectly at mid-thigh. With all Aritzia Super Puffs, it pairs well with just a basic white t-shirt and jeans, and its down filling keeps me warm without excessive layers. If you have an apple-shaped body or a larger chest, consider sizing up; I tried the Aritzia Super Puff Mid in my regular size (approximately 16/18) but found it slightly snug around my waist. Most classic Super Puff styles, including the Mid, range up to size 2XL, making them plus-size friendly.

**Aniyah's review:** After four years of living in NYC, I can’t believe I spent this time without a Super Puff. Everyone praises its warmth and durability. My editor colleague Natalie Gray Herder has had hers for six years, and it's still in great condition. Initially, I thought of getting a classic black puffer to match my neutral winter wardrobe, but I decided to try something different and went for this light pink cropped puffer. It adds a whimsical touch to even the simplest outfits, which is much needed during these dark winter months. I appreciate the thumbholes and the fact that it keeps me warm enough that I don’t
