We don’t do a lot of indoor decorations—right now, our friend Haik has adorned the backyard with these charmingly imperfect pumpkins. The real vibe, however, comes when everyone is gathered together in the family room, sprawled on the couch and floor, enthusiastically watching football. I’d say my son asks Alexa for player stats about 25 times during a game. Plus, my kids request Alexa to play “I Like to Move It” even more often. Do you have any holiday traditions? We prioritize ensuring that John's family comes to visit us, no matter where we are located. And then there’s football—my goodness, the football! Oh! I also maintain the same menu each year. I guess that counts as a tradition? The only variation is the way we prepare the turkey. After twenty years, I’m still on the hunt for the perfect method. However, we recently acquired an incredible smoker (from Amazon!), which has been producing some fantastic meats lately, so I’m hopeful! Do you have a gift-giving strategy this year?       Fuzzy Plush Slippers What gifts are you most excited to give this year? I think stockings are my favorite part of the season. We always ensure that everyone with us gets a personalized stocking, so our mantels are loaded to the point where I worry they might collapse in the morning. Aside from stockings, I enjoy giving people things they'll regularly use that they often wouldn’t buy for themselves—such as a beautiful chef’s knife (ahem, Cravings!), cutting boards, light masks, and luxurious face and body creams. The Shark Hair Dryer is another favorite of mine. My daughter Luna loves styling her hair in the mornings, and the diffuser attachment is perfect for her lovely curls.

      Is there anything special you’re hoping will be under the tree for you? Honestly, I don’t often think about my own gifts since I truly need nothing. However, I will admit that I really need an extra-large mixing bowl. Not a set of nesting mixing bowls, but a ridiculously large metal mixing bowl. With so many people to feed, I often find myself needing to break recipes down and do them in inconvenient steps because I usually triple each recipe, and none of my bowls can handle making it all at once! So I’m hoping this message reaches John… er, Santa… somehow. Are you a last-minute shopper? I would say I shop until the very end, but I genuinely enjoy it throughout the year. There have been times when fast, free Prime shipping has absolutely SAVED me—like when I needed random Girl Scout patches for a next-day troop meeting or food warmers I volunteered to bring to school.
