      My collection of heels has been receiving a bit more attention lately, and—unfortunately for me—this means several of my favorite pairs are looking less than pristine. With a valid reason to enhance my selection with a couple of new pairs, I've been on the lookout for any heel trends that excite me without feeling repetitive. Fortunately, inspiration came just in time. This week, Gwyneth Paltrow stepped onto a red carpet in a heel trend I hadn’t considered before—and I’m not sure why. With just one appearance, she convinced me of its elegance, making me realize that what my wardrobe truly needs are a pair of rich navy heels.

      At an event in L.A., Gwyneth styled her royal blue heels effortlessly, matching them with a light grey trouser suit. While black would have darkened the soft grey and added heaviness, Gwyneth's navy heels complemented the outfit perfectly, enhancing the look without overpowering the palette.

      Although navy dresses have become increasingly popular this season, navy heels have been slower to trend. I’m not exactly sure why. This deep shade is less conventional than your typical black pair yet just as versatile, adding a subtle depth to any ensemble. It pairs beautifully with the darker tones we gravitate toward in winter while also harmonizing with lighter shades like powder blue, oat, and cream.
