Dua Lipa's starry-night nails have just topped my list of the perfect manicures for New Year's Eve parties.
Dua Lipa serves as my primary inspiration for manicure ideas. Recently, I replicated her red halo nails, and prior to that, I tried a polka-dot design. Her iconic cool-girl manicures are endless, and I often bookmark them before my monthly salon visits. (Thanks, Dua!) The most recent design is no exception. After spotting it on Instagram, I immediately put it at the top of my list for perfect New Year's Eve party manicures. It’s stylish! It’s shimmery! It’s celestial! I’ve dubbed them starry-night nails, and I can almost visualize them winking and sparkling amidst glasses of champagne right now. I first saw Lipa’s starry-night nails when she shared a photo on Instagram to promote her Service95 Book Club and the Norwegian novel being featured this month: Brightly Shining, by Ingvild Rishøi. The novel is a reimagining of Hans Christian Andersen's classic tale, "The Little Match Girl," and I promptly added it to my reading list. While the book was the focus of her post, I couldn’t help but admire her nails as well…

Here’s a close-up. These starry-night nails look fresh and contemporary. With no harsh glitter in sight, they appear elegant and refined. Although I want—no, need—to wear them for NYE, I believe they'd be suitable well beyond December 31.
