      I've lost count of how many times I've instinctively grabbed for black pants this fall and winter, and it's still not even winter yet. Many people opt for black during this season, but I find it monotonous to see it worn all over—on myself and others too. That's where Elsa Hosk's outfit inspiration comes in.

      Hosk always chooses unique combinations for her outfits. She thinks creatively and has curated countless impressive looks as a result. Her most recent appearance was just a few days ago at a Ralph Lauren event in Los Angeles. While she could have worn black trousers with her black leather bomber jacket, turtleneck, and festive red accessories, she opted for a pair of pleated cream trousers instead. This choice made her outfit appear more distinctive and elegant than it would have if she had gone with black pants. Hopefully, her look will overturn the outdated "no white after Labor Day" rule for those who see it.

      So the next time you reach for black pants to finalize your winter ensemble, consider putting them back and selecting a cream pair instead. I have a feeling Elsa Hosk would approve of your choice.
