      As a fashion editor, I'm usually unaffected by the incessant stream of product recommendations on Instagram. However, there are a few influencers whose shopping advice can sway me into making a purchase. One such influencer I trust is Courtney Grow. This New York–based content creator captures my interest whether she’s showcasing her latest favorites from Shopbop or spotlighting high-quality fashion finds from Amazon. She even convinced me that I need a pair of men's jeans.

      Recently, Grow posted an Instagram story where she and her sister were in the Zara dressing room, both sporting men's jeans from Zara's collaboration with menswear designer Aaron Levine. While it’s common for insiders to buy jackets and sweaters from the men’s section, denim is a different matter—at least for me. Despite my initial doubts, seeing the jeans on Grow piqued my interest. However, I needed more assurance. So like any diligent shopper, I sent her a direct message on Instagram to get more context on her love for them and what inspired her to try on men’s denim in the first place.

      "For some reason, I’ve been really intrigued by Zara’s men's sweaters this season," Grow explained. "When I went to see the Aaron Levine sweaters, I spontaneously decided to try on the denim because I loved the wash." I agreed; the jeans have a perfect vintage medium-blue color and a distressed, well-worn look that suggests they have plenty of backstory. "I walked in wearing vintage Levi's, and the Aaron Levine denim was so impressive that I nearly forgot to put my jeans back on," she added. "I thought, 'Oh, this is interesting to try on men's denim,' and then I remembered I wear men’s denim regularly. All my vintage Levi's are unisex. They offer a great fit, a wonderful wash, an authentic patina, and I admire Aaron Levine as a person. Supporting him was enjoyable."

      While she tried on the blue pair, these jeans also come in a dark wash, one of the hottest denim color trends for 2026, and a dark charcoal that’s always a reliable winter choice. For sizing, check Zara's size chart since men’s measurements vary; for reference, Grow mentioned in her Stories that she wears a size 30. To further encourage you, she shared that one of her followers messaged her, expressing gratitude: "A moment of appreciation for you because I just got my Aaron Levine x Zara jeans and I probably would have spent at least twice as much for jeans this good."
