      I’ve never been one to look glamorous at the airport, and I’m fine with that. As long as I'm not arriving at the terminal in worn-out sweatpants and a stained college t-shirt, I consider it a success. My airport style focuses on comfort rather than sophistication. That’s why I was especially happy with the shoes I selected for my most recent journey. Flying from Los Angeles to Honolulu and back, around five and a half hours each way, I wore Ugg Classic Micro Slip-Ons ($139), which launched in May 2025. This was my first time wearing these shoes on a plane, and I won't be switching back anytime soon.

      So, why do I love them for flying? Let me explain. I would feel too relaxed at the airport in full-on house slippers, yet I still want shoes that I can easily slide on without using my hands, as I prefer to avoid touching my shoes in the germ-filled environment of an airplane. I need footwear that will keep my feet warm during chilly flights, where I tend to get cold, but I know I’d overheat in Ugg boots while walking through what feels like infinite terminals. In other words, these slip-ons are the ideal blend of slippers and boots, combining the best features from both while omitting the aspects that make them unsuitable for travel.
