It has taught the fashion industry to focus on fabric quality, accurate proportions, garment movement, and styling versatility before making hasty judgments or purchases. The impact of the brand on personal wardrobes is a universally shared sentiment. While I have numerous examples, the latest and most meaningful change for me is how it persuaded me to replace my sheer stockings with cashmere tights. If you know me, you understand how much I anticipate winter in NYC for the chance to wear my collection of sheer tights—particularly the brown ones (a detail only my closest friends are aware of). Thus, it was quite an achievement for The Row to convince me to trade my favored 10- or 20-denier sheer tights for much thicker and more opaque alternatives. However, after viewing its resort 2026 collection, I was sold.
Back in March at Paris Fashion Week, The Row unveiled its resort 2026 collection, maintaining its minimalist yet intricate aesthetic in a manner that is far from dull or basic. The collection showcased a variety of flipped-collar coats and flowing dresses, with shoes notably absent. In nearly half of the collection, instead of footwear, thick cashmere tights distinguished the models' feet from the carpet, which immediately piqued my interest, as did the styling of the cashmere tights. When not styled with dresses or skirts, the tights were worn as leggings, unaccompanied by any over-layer, save for sweaters or blouses, and striking outerwear on top.
Cashmere tights embody winter elegance. In comparison to sheer tights, they're incredibly soft, naturally warm, and have a sophisticated finish. Furthermore, their thick texture infuses a unique layer of depth and allure, instantly enhancing the simplest winter looks. However, if you have sensitive skin that reacts to cashmere, this trend may not be for you. But there are plenty of other The Row-inspired aesthetics to explore that won't irritate your skin.
