      I've been fortunate enough to have my makeup done by professional makeup artists on a few occasions. When they ask about my ideal lash look, I almost yell, "Kendall Jenner!" I’ve always admired how her lashes are long, fluttery, and appear natural, whether she's taking a selfie at home or gracing a red carpet in full glam. In the past, I considered getting lash extensions to achieve a similar effect, but I prefer a low-maintenance routine with fewer beauty appointments. Plus, I occasionally like to support the no-mascara trend. So, I reach for mascara instead.

      Recently, I tried a new mascara that Kendall Jenner reportedly uses and loves, and I completely understand why. Its thin, stiff brush and flexible formula give me long, Jenner-like lashes.       L'Oréal Paris Extensionist Mascara

      L'Oréal Paris Extensionist Lengthening and Curling Washable Mascara is the latest release from the brand, with Jenner serving as the global ambassador in their campaign. It promises both lengthening and curling benefits (more on that shortly).

      Pros: Lengthens, lifts, and defines; Affordable

      Cons: Not the most volumizing

      For context, I've previously discovered just two mascaras that give me Jenner-like lashes. The first is Refy’s Lash Sculpt Lengthen and Lift Mascara (£22), which has been my go-to for off-duty looks due to its curved brush that lifts and separates my lashes and a flexible formula that never looks clumpy. It’s the ideal "no-makeup makeup" mascara. The second is also a drugstore find—Maybelline’s Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara (£13). Multiple celebrity makeup artists, including Kelli Anne Sewell and Alexandra French, have recommended it to me. It adds length, lift, and curl without flaking or clumping.

      When I heard that L'Oréal Paris was releasing a new mascara to replicate the appearance of lash extensions, I was cautiously hopeful (having been disappointed by similar products before). However, this one was genuinely impressive. Check out my before-and-after images as evidence.

      Before: My lashes are naturally long but sparse and stick-straight.

      After: This is the effect of just one (!) coat of L'Oréal's Extensionist Mascara.

      The Verdict: I was thoroughly impressed with this L'Oréal mascara. The formula is thin, buildable, and flexible, meaning it doesn’t clump, flake, or become crusty throughout the day (if you know, you know). The best feature is the brush—a short, dense, plastic one, my favorite type! It applies the perfect amount of mascara to my lashes, lifting and lengthening them beautifully.

      The effect lasted all day through a busy 14+-hour workday, and at the end of the day, I didn’t need an oily makeup remover to wash it off. The washable formula came off easily with my regular cleanser. Simple to apply and take off.

      I've been using it almost every day since my initial test, and I'm excited to share that I’ve found my third go-to mascara for achieving those Jenner-level lashes.
