Pinterest has just forecasted the major trends for 2026—here are 5 that I believe will endure.

      Each December, we find ourselves inundated with various platforms summarizing our year. Yet, amidst Spotify Wrapped playlists and yearly Instagram recaps, one list excites me more than any other—Pinterest Predicts. For the past six years, this visual platform and beloved mood board creator has introduced its Predicts series, highlighting often quirky, sometimes niche, but always viral trends expected to take over the coming year. The class of 2026 certainly did not disappoint.

      As a social media editor, my extensive scrolling (or rather, analyzing) has taught me when Pinterest is onto something significant. With an 88% accuracy rate in their previous reports, they frequently hit the mark. Remember the concept of Dopamine Dressing? Or the infamous Mob Wife Aesthetic? We can thank Pinterest for those trends. And how could we overlook Rom-Com Core or Eclectic Grandpa? For digital natives, Predicts serves as the essential social barometer for what’s trending. However, given the report's vast scope—covering travel, lifestyle, interiors, fashion, and beauty—it can sometimes be overwhelming to digest. Or, as anyone familiar with the trend names will know, to translate.
