Ahead of the Curve—What Editors at WWW Are Sportng for Fashion Month This Season
If you're similar to this editor, you likely anticipate fashion month for the unveiling of new collections on the runways, as well as the street style looks captured outside the shows. Both aspects inspire me greatly, but the outfits worn by seasoned fashion industry professionals significantly influence how I dress and the new-season items I incorporate into my wardrobe. With fashion month here, I'm eager to get a glimpse of the pieces and trends that Who What Wear editors will showcase this season. Ahead, WWW fashion editors reveal a preview of the stylish brands, 2026 trends, and specific pieces they plan to wear everywhere from New York to London while attending the fall/winter 2026 collections. Based on their selections, high-impact outerwear, versatile bags, and unique vintage pieces will dominate the street style scene this season—explore all of their finds here.
This season, I'm inspired to sport a statement belt. There are fantastic styles being released by brands like Celine, Dior, and Ralph Lauren. It's the ideal accessory to enhance even the most basic outfit.

"In September, when the weather is warm (sometimes too warm) in New York for fashion week, I feel more creative and thoughtful in choosing what to wear to the shows. Conversely, in February, like it is now, with temperatures hovering between 10ºF and 30ºF, I'm less motivated to dress up. I spend the whole day running around the city, so I prioritize warmth. If I can manage to create an outfit that looks decent while staying warm, I'll be satisfied. One outfit I plan to sport this season is from Prada's F/W 23 collection (Look 30). It's akin to wearing a giant down comforter, featuring a matching jacket and column skirt, both made from padded white poplin. I previously wore the skirt alone with a sweater last September, but now that I have the jacket, I’m ready to showcase the complete look. Additionally, I recently acquired a stunning black suede coat with brown pony-hair accents from Allegra Vintij at the Manhattan Vintage Show, which I intend to layer over a navy-blue Khaite silk minidress and black tailored trousers from Colleen Allen. I've been enjoying pairing more evening-style minidresses with trousers to achieve a casual, daytime aesthetic. Lastly, I’ll probably carry the same The Row Marlo bag throughout the week—it holds my laptop, which is my only requirement during a hectic week like NYFW."

"It's all about the coat. Period. This season, I'm fully embracing my affection for faux-fur coats to ground my fashion week outfits. I'm leaning towards a monochromatic aesthetic, so the emphasis will be on separates that match the colors of the faux-fur coats I'll be wearing. Picture an all-cream or all-chocolate-brown ensemble."

"I've been telling my friends in the industry that this fashion week will be the year when the coat is the centerpiece of the outfit. Given that it's predicted to be the coldest NYFW I've ever attended, it feels fitting for this to be my mantra in the days ahead. Most outfit photos are taken while hurriedly moving between shows or hanging out outside venues, and with temperatures falling below 20ºF most days, my coat will likely be the main focus. Regardless of the outfit beneath the layers, it's the eye-catching coat that will make the most memorable statement. A few standout pairs of boots won't hurt either. This season is all about impact—without overdoing it."
