What to Purchase from COS When You Have Expensive Taste but a Limited Budget of $250
I was fortunate enough to receive a $250 gift card to one of my favorite stores, COS, but being a Libra, I’ve found it nearly impossible to make a decision on what to purchase. It’s been at least four months, and I still haven’t made a single purchase. It’s not due to a lack of appealing options—there have certainly been plenty of attractive items. The challenge lies in having too many great choices, from essential basics that I know I will wear consistently to standout pieces that are sure to garner compliments. Ultimately, I need your assistance.
I have successfully narrowed down my favorite COS items under $250 for spring 2026, listed below. My goal is to select one or two pieces that fit within my gift card budget while creating the impression that I spent much more. My taste tends to be more aligned with $2500 than $250, especially at the beginning of a new season when fresh runway arrivals debut in store, so I want to make this purchase worthwhile.
Continue reading to see what I have selected so far, including a cool-blue button-down shirt that I’ve noticed numerous It girls in L.A. and London styling, as well as the soft derby sneakers that I’ve been eyeing to achieve that Celine by Michael Rider look for the upcoming season.
