      Over the weekend, while shopping with her brother in Beverly Hills, Zendaya sported a pair of airy white pleated pants (I examined them closely and decided they were indeed pants, not a skirt) paired with a black ruched top. The overall look was both striking and elegant, yet my attention was drawn to her footwear. On her feet were black leather Dansko clogs worn with white crew socks. Yes, Dansko clogs—the comfortable shoes often favored by healthcare professionals and chefs. However, there’s something effortlessly chic about pairing unexpected, practical footwear with an outfit that typically demands something more conventional.

      In 2017, The New York Times published an article titled "In Praise of an Aggressively Unfashionable Shoe" that highlighted the long-standing fan base of Dansko clogs.
