"Classics for the Whole Family": a cultural event in April 2026 in the Vologda Region
From April 20 to 22, 2026, in the city of Cherepovets (Vologda region), the third stage of the federal project "Classics for the Whole Family" will take place. The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Center for Film Festivals and International Programs with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Vologda Region and the Company "KinoFocus."
One of the most important components of the "Classics for the Whole Family" project is the organization of cultural events for family members of different ages: from interactive performances for children to classical music concerts and retro programs for middle-aged and older generations. All events are held in an open format, creating opportunities for direct communication, exchange of opinions, and contributing to the formation of a communicative space that unites all generations of the family.
On April 20 at 19:00, a musical evening "Love Story" will take place on the stage of the Chamber Theater (Cherepovets, Soviet Avenue, 35B). This concert program for two voices and piano is a journey into the world of musical masterpieces performed by the leading opera soloist of the Moscow Musical Theater "Helikon-Opera," Alexandra Kovalevich (mezzo-soprano), and the invited soloist of the "Metropolitan Opera" and "La Scala," Denis Sedov (bass), accompanied by the soloist of "Moskontsert," Sergey Semenov (piano).
On April 21 at 19:00, a concert "Music of Cinema" will be held on the stage of the Great Hall of the Cherepovets Regional College of Arts and Crafts named after V.V. Vereshchagin (Stalevarov Street, 34A), dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Stanislav Govorukhin. This is a tribute to the memory of the famous director, prominent public and political figure. The favorite musical works of Stanislav Sergeevich will be performed by laureates of all-Russian and international competitions, soloists of "Moskontsert": Ekaterina Smolina (soprano) and Ilya Khardikov (tenor). The piano part will be played by Sergey Semenov. The concert will be hosted by Olga Sveshnikova.
On April 22 at 16:00, at the Cherepovets College of Arts named after V.V. Vereshchagin, the artists of "Moskontsert" will present a musical-literary composition "Where the Homeland Begins." The program will feature works that have entered the golden fund of the national song genre, about the native land, the home, loved ones, and the Homeland, which is not chosen and without which there is no real life.
