While shopping online one day, I observed a trend: many of the brands I was exploring were located in Los Angeles. It all started with Geel, Brooke Callahan, and Charlie Beads, which led me to think of Gil Rodriguez and Campbell & Kramer, along with newer labels like Kye Intimates, H-o-r-s-e, and Rue Sophie. This prompted memories of long-established L.A. brands I’ve been familiar with, such as Clare V., Donni, Leau, Leset, NIA, and The Line by K. I thoroughly enjoy discovering new brands, and L.A. has emerged as one of my favorite destinations for this, especially through local boutiques like Maimoun and Scout, as well as microinfluencers I’ve encountered on TikTok who reside in the area. For those who appreciate a laid-back yet polished style, the clothing always feels both effortless and stylish. It encapsulates how I envision life there: relaxing in the sun with a wardrobe designed for an endless spring. Some items I currently own include Campbell & Kramer’s Aurora Halter Dress, Charlie Beads’ ’90s Bias Skirt, Clare V.’s Moyen Messenger, Geel’s Brynn Skirt, Kye Intimates’ Recline cami-and-skirt set, NIA’s Santal Dress, and Rue Sophie’s Provenance Oversized Jacket. Below, discover the must-know L.A. brands.
