We have noticed them trending on Instagram this year and they were notably popular among the fashionable crowd during the various fashion weeks. Now, celebrities like Anne Hathaway are also sporting them while she promotes The Devil Wears Prada 2.
After an extended period during which finished-hem jeans were the norm, frayed hems were definitely due for a resurgence. Personally, I went from having a closet filled with them about a decade ago to not having any until recently. However, I just got a pair of frayed-hem jeans from Reformation, and I'm loving the cool, laid-back vibe they bring to my outfits. I particularly enjoy wearing them with heels, as the juxtaposition looks very stylish.
