Announcing It: These Chanel Manicures Inspired by Mermaids Are Bound to Go Viral.

      In case you missed it, Chanel recently unveiled its cruise 26/27 collection in Biarritz, a coastal town along the Basque Coast. Though it's quite distant from the brand's Paris headquarters, the location holds significant historical value. Gabrielle Chanel selected Biarritz to launch her couture house in 1915. Fast forward 111 years, and Matthieu Blazy has chosen it as the setting for his inaugural Cruise Collection.

      Drawing inspiration from the sun, sea, and sand, Chanel showcased models on the runway adorned in silk foulards, "rustling" raffia skirts, and cotton-canvas suits. The beauty looks complemented the collection beautifully—imagine dewy, sunlit skin, windswept hair, and shimmering, mermaid-themed nails. The latter were particularly eye-catching. Nail artist Ama Quashie created six gradient color palettes, featuring a range from cool nautical blues to sandy yellows and vibrant reds. Although the exact shades haven't been disclosed, Quashie mentioned to Who What Wear that the secret to achieving the look lies in "finding colors that both clash and blend with each other."
