Rachel Hochhauser, cofounder of Piecework Puzzles and author of the popular new novel Lady Tremaine, excels in the art of storytelling. Writing has long been a significant passion for Hochhauser. However, despite her early aspirations to become a writer, she took an unconventional route, starting her career as a strategic advisor at an advertising agency during the financial crisis while managing the demands of the corporate sphere.
Although she thrived in the fast-paced agency setting, Hochhauser remained committed to her literary ambitions. She earned a master’s degree in professional writing and finished her first manuscript while progressing in the creative industry. In 2016, she co-founded Major Studio, where she served as partner and brand director. Under her guidance, the agency developed compelling brand strategies that enabled clients to stand out in competitive markets.
Alongside her agency achievements, Hochhauser co-founded Piecework Puzzles, a unique brand celebrated for its artistic puzzles and high-quality gifts. The company showcases her keen design sense and her talent for creating products that foster creativity and connection in people's lives.
In 2023, Hochhauser finally dedicated herself to fiction, publishing her debut novel, Lady Tremaine, earlier this year. The book quickly gained widespread acclaim, becoming an Instant New York Times Bestseller and a Reese’s Book Club Pick. The swift success of the book represents the realization of a dream she has cherished while balancing demanding careers and her writing pursuits.
