The Kardashian-Jenner women are quite familiar with the Met Gala, having been participants since Kim Kardashian's first appearance in 2013. Subsequently, Kendall Jenner attended in 2014, Kris Jenner in 2015, Kylie Jenner in 2016, and both Khloé Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian in 2022. Regardless of the year, they consistently bring their fashion A-game and often arrive fashionably late to the Met steps. In 2026, as the red carpet festivities are nearing an end, the Kardashian-Jenner family has just made their entrance, generating buzz, particularly with Kylie's outfit.

For this prestigious evening, Kylie has donned a custom "dropped ball gown" by Schiaparelli, designed by Daniel Roseberry. The gown features a "rigid bustier in brown corset toile adorned with a sfumato effect and a voluminous skirt embellished with over 2,000 satin stitching balls, 10,000 natural baroque pearls, and more than 7,000 painted pearlescent fish scales," according to a press release from the brand. To elevate her look, Kylie accessorized with an antique silver necklace decorated with rhinestones, pearls, and intricately hand-sculpted bird heads, along with matching chandelier earrings.

Jenner's gown is a stunning piece of art, perfectly reflecting the Fashion Is Art dress code. The intricate embroidery alone took around 11,000 hours to complete, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. The beaded accents underline the garment's detail and narrative. Additionally, the "sfumato effect," a technique from Renaissance painting, enhances the artistic quality of the dress.
