I visited Madrid and observed a particular shoe trend on every corner.
I recently traveled to Madrid, and while I anticipated finding some fabulous outfit inspiration (since it is undoubtedly the most fashion-forward city in Spain), I didn't expect to see a particular shoe style on so many people. However, this turned out to be the case. I first noticed a pair while heading to dinner, and then the following night, I spotted Spanish girls reuniting in them. Finally, I encountered them again in my hotel lobby. This was more than mere coincidence; it was a distinct preference among the locals in this walkable city. You could say I was influenced. The shoes were soft, almost like slippers, featuring micro heels and higher-than-usual vamps. They boasted enough structure to feel purposeful, and were paired with everything from light dresses to lengthy trench coats. Once I realized that every stylish girl in the city owned a pair, I dove into a shopping frenzy and selected the best options I could find online.
What sets them apart is their simplicity. There are no heavy embellishments or excessively round toes—just a sleek silhouette that appears refined without trying too hard. They are versatile enough to complement both jeans and a tank top or a slip dress for the evening, which explains why I saw them everywhere. The flats in question include:
