My Spring Beauty Aesthetic Is "Jonathan Anderson's Dior"—5 Trending Looks I Plan to Try Soon

The internet continuously generates new beauty trends, and the arrival of different seasons adds even more material for those advocating the “miscellaneous-core aesthetic.” Amidst the overwhelming influx of makeup trends presented to me on my devices, despite some captivating choices (I did indulge in the sunburn blush and frosted lipstick styles), I felt as though I had misplaced my unique style this season. It wasn’t until I shifted my attention away from the beauty industry that I discovered fresh inspiration for spring beauty—and that inspiration came from Jonathan Anderson’s inaugural F/W collection for Dior.

Beauty inherently extends from fashion, providing a definitive emphasis on the messages designers aim to express through their clothing, whether it is the simplicity of Prada’s streamlined designs or the drama of Maison Margiela’s standout pieces. Thus, it was no surprise that when I encountered the enchanting water lily-inspired shoes, turtle-shaped bags, and chrysanthemum-decorated two-pieces making their way down Dior’s runway at Jardin des Tuileries in Paris, I felt an urge to adapt the show’s color scheme into my own style.

Since immersing myself in the pastel palette of Anderson’s Dior collection, I’ve regained a fresh appreciation for spring beauty. Below are the five trends I’ve embraced from his captivating show.

      **Freshwater Eyes**

I have a deep fondness for vibrant pastel eyes, so upon spotting a sky-blue clutch on the runway, it struck me that I had the perfect cue from Dior to apply this color generously across my lids. While blue eyeshadow may not be a novel concept for spring and summer, the retro shade is experiencing a significant revival in 2026. Celebrity makeup artist Ash K. Holm even named it the color of the season in an Instagram reel, using Danessa Myricks’s Colorfix liquid pigment in the shade Oasis to recreate her robin’s egg lids. To emulate the bag’s freshwater tone, I chose Victoria Beckham’s EyeWear cream shadow in Cornflower. After applying this shade all over my lids, I blended into my crease with a fluffy brush and enhanced the effect with Hung Vanngo’s Color Story Eyeshadow Palette in Brilliant Blue. It’s cool, artistic, and contemporary.

      **Cherubic Blush**

One prominent trend observed from global fashion weeks, awards season, and the 2026 Met Gala is the cherubic blush: a dreamy application of rosy color across the cheeks, creating a soft cloud-like appearance. The delicate hints of pink found throughout Dior’s latest womenswear collection align perfectly with this trend, so I’m embracing rosy cheeks this season with a few key blush products. Dior’s Backstage Glow Maximizer Face Palette features a cool-pink shimmering pigment that resembles the hue of Dior’s chrysanthemum appliqués, contributing to a healthy glow. I’m also incorporating one of Sabrina Carpenter’s favorite liquid blushes and blending Violette_FR’s new Plume Eye Shadows in Pluie Violette onto my lids for a cohesive look.

      **Water-Lily Nails**

One of the most direct beauty interpretations from this collection is showcased in a set by Milan-based professional manicurist Oksana Zavora. Each nail is adorned with a variety of water lilies, chrysanthemums, pastel French tips, and 3D decals resembling bubbles or rhinestones—all inspired by the collection itself. If the idea of different nail art on each fingertip feels overwhelming, consider alternating milky pink, baby blue, and pastel green shades from finger to finger to achieve a similar effect. I’m also drawing inspiration from Chanel’s mermaid nails from their latest Cruise 26/27 show, where alternating sheer chrome colors were utilized for a whimsical flair.

      **Chiffon Lips**

Although I usually don't gravitate towards bright pinks for my makeup, Anderson’s use of soft pink in this collection made me reconsider. With Prada’s new Touch Blush—a cream-to-powder product available in sophisticated, pigmented shades—I found myself applying it on my cheeks and lips equally. The colors Waterlily and Tulip look especially lovely when dabbed onto the lips, particularly when topped with YSL Beauty’s Kiss Shaper liners.

      **Fruity Femme Fragrances**

If Dior’s relatively spring-like fall collection had a scent, it would evoke a mix of fresh greenery, blooming flowers, seasonal fruits, and juicy dewdrops. This bouquet of fragrances inspired me to curate my spring perfume collection with floral scents mingled with juicy fruit and earthy sweetness. While it may seem a bit on-the-nose, I couldn’t disregard Dior’s delightful spring perfume options. Dior Addict Rosy Glow Eau de Parfum is a new fragrance that leans towards the sweet side, featuring a lychee base (a popular ingredient right now), wrapped in Damascus rose and accented with creamy vanilla. For a more sheer, greener scent, I’m adding Diptyque’s Vetyverio Eau de Toilette, and for something juicy yet not overly sweet, Jo Malone’s P
