My Spring Beauty Aesthetic Is "Jonathan Anderson's Dior"—5 Trendy Looks I’m Eager to Try Right Away
The internet continuously produces new beauty trends, and the change of seasons provides even more inspiration for those following the “miscellaneous-core aesthetic.” Amid the flood of makeup trends displayed on my device, I felt I had lost my individual sense of style this season, despite indulging in trends like sunburn blush and frosted lipstick. It was only when I shifted my attention away from the beauty industry that I discovered fresh inspiration for spring beauty, which came from Jonathan Anderson’s first F/W collection for Dior.
Beauty naturally complements fashion, serving as a final touch to the designer's vision conveyed through their garments, whether they are minimalist like Prada’s sleek silhouettes or dramatic like Maison Margiela’s striking outfits. So, when I encountered the enchanting water lily-inspired shoes, turtle-shaped handbags, and chrysanthemum-embellished two-piece sets at Dior’s showcase at the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris, it quickly inspired me to incorporate the show’s color palette into my own style.
Since immersing myself in the pastel aesthetic of Anderson's Dior collection, I have regained my appreciation for spring beauty. Below are five trends I’ve embraced from his captivating show.
**Freshwater Eyes**
I have a strong affinity for vibrant pastel eye makeup, so when I noticed a sky-blue clutch on the runway, I realized I could embrace that color on my eyelids. While blue eyeshadow isn't particularly new for spring and summer, the retro shade is experiencing a revival in 2026. Celebrity makeup artist Ash K. Holm even called this hue the season's standout in an Instagram reel, using Danessa Myricks’s Colorfix liquid pigment in the shade Oasis to achieve a robin’s egg effect. To reflect the clutch’s fresh hue, I chose Victoria Beckham’s EyeWear cream shadow in Cornflower. After applying it across my lids, I blended it into the crease with a fluffy brush and enhanced the look with Hung Vanngo’s Color Story Eyeshadow Palette in Brilliant Blue. The result is cool, artistic, and modern.
**Cherubic Blush**
A significant trend emerging from global fashion weeks, award shows, and the 2026 Met Gala was cherubic blush, characterized by a dreamy application of rosy pigment across the cheeks. The delicate pink touches present in Dior’s latest womenswear collection align perfectly with this trend, prompting me to embrace rosy skin this season using a few key blush products. Dior’s Backstage Glow Maximizer Face Palette features a cool-pink shimmer pigment that mirrors the shade of Dior’s chrysanthemum appliqués, giving the skin a healthy glow due to its shimmery finish. (Think disco blush.) I’m also incorporating one of Sabrina Carpenter’s favorite liquid blushes and blending Violette_FR’s Plume Eye Shadows in Pluie Violette onto my eyelids for a coordinated look.
**Water-Lily Nails**
One of the most literal beauty interpretations of this collection comes from Milan-based professional manicurist Oksana Zavora, who created a set of nails adorned with water lilies, chrysanthemums, pastel French tips, and 3D bubble or rhinestone decals, all inspired by the collection. If alternating nail designs feels daunting, try using milky pink, baby blue, and pastel green shades from finger to finger for a similar effect. I’m also drawing inspiration from Chanel’s mermaid nails displayed in the latest Cruise 26/27 show, where alternating sheer chrome shades were featured for a whimsical touch.
**Chiffon Lips**
I typically shy away from bright pinks in my makeup routine, regardless of the season. However, Anderson’s use of baby pink in this collection made me reconsider. After acquiring Prada’s new Touch Blush—a cream-to-powder formula in vibrant shades—I began using it half the time on my cheeks and the other half on my lips. The shades Waterlily and Tulip look especially charming when tapped onto the lips, particularly when paired with YSL Beauty’s Kiss Shaper liners.
**Fruity Femme Fragrances**
If Dior’s relatively spring-themed fall collection had a scent profile, it would embody fresh greenery, blooming flowers, seasonal fruits, and dewy droplets. This bouquet of fragrances prompted me to think of floral scents blended with fruity and earthy notes, leading me to refine my spring perfume collection to include these three. Though it may seem overly themed, I couldn’t overlook Dior’s enticing spring perfume offerings. Dior Addict Rosy Glow Eau de Parfum presents a sweet scent with a fruity lychee base (an incredibly popular ingredient right now), layered with Damascus rose and a hint of creamy vanilla. For something lighter and greener, I’m also including Diptyque’s Vetyverio Eau de Toilette in my selection, while Jo Malone’s Poppy and Barley Cologne is my go-to for something sweet and juicy that stays away from gourmand territory.
