      Exuding the essence of downtown chic, Jennifer Lawrence is my go-to inspiration for summer street style. Whenever she sports red and white sneakers, I immediately add them to my shopping cart. When she wears cropped orange pants paired with butter-yellow suede loafers, I see it as my seasonal outfit (then feel disheartened upon discovering those loafers cost $1569). And when she appears with a $24 fragrance that competes with high-end scents—on an adorable keychain, no less—I can't resist buying three before they sell out. Just last week, J.Law was seen leaving her NYC residence carrying a dark brown Hermès Lindy Bag in one hand and Cyklar's Modern Patchouli Perfume Oil in the other, a warm and sultry mix of coconut water, pistachio, mimosa, vanilla absolute, and, of course, patchouli. Given its roll-on format, the scent is ideal for applying on the go, which is why the brand provides bag charms you can attach to your purse or, as in Lawrence's case, your keys.

I had the opportunity to try out all of Cyklar's Perfume Oils when they debuted back in January of last year, and I can confidently say these little gems smell far more luxurious than their $24 price point. I still firmly believe that. Each vial features a complex scent profile that turns out quite unexpectedly—like Modern Patchouli, which just happens to be my top pick.

      Characteristically warm and earthy, this note has been praised throughout history for its woody richness; however, in this Cyklar blend, it presents a slightly sweeter essence. "Someone once told me it smelled like summer in a bottle," Claudia Sulewski, the founder of Cyklar, shared with WWW regarding the scent. So, it's no wonder Lawrence opted to wear it on a sunny day in NYC, matched with black sunglasses from Heaven Mayhem and Adidas slides—other must-have items I'm currently adding to my list.
