I just returned from Paris—these 6 outfits made me blend in like a local.

I just returned from my fourth trip to my second-favorite city in the world (New York City will always hold a special place in my heart), and this was my first time visiting in the spring. I'm accustomed to dressing for the Parisian winter with Uniqlo Heattech, long wool coats, and outfits that often remain hidden beneath those layers, where function has always taken precedence over style.
This visit was different. The city was beginning to blossom into spring, and I found myself dressing for leisurely mornings, café visits, and golden-hour strolls along the Seine. Think coquette tops, two-piece outfits, and ultra-romantic styles. I finally got to enjoy French fashion in its full glory, where the chilly weather couldn’t stop locals and visitors alike from showcasing their dressing talents—including myself.
I went all out with my outfits. Scroll down to see what I wore during my recent trip to Paris.
**Day 1**
On the first day of my journey, I arrived in Paris at 6 a.m., and despite being quite jet-lagged, there was no time to lose. Staying in my favorite area, Le Marais, naturally turned my day into a shopping excursion. Although the weather was sunny with blue skies, the wind was quite fierce, making this outfit a perfect choice. When I think of Parisian style, I picture something simple and chic, while New Yorkers add a bit of edge that makes our fashion feel distinctive. This double-button Fancì Club jacket became the focal point of my outfit, which I coordinated around it, pairing it with my go-to straight-leg blue-wash Uniqlo x JW Anderson jeans. I had the most fun with the accessories. Since my outfit consisted mainly of neutrals, I wanted to stick to that color scheme while incorporating an unexpected element. My leather patchwork Coachtopia bag added the perfect quirky detail that completed the entire look. For footwear, I opted for my Maison Margiela Tabis because you have to when in Paris. It took some time to break them in, but now they’re surprisingly comfortable for walking several thousand steps a day.
**Day 2**
Believe it or not, I usually don’t wear much color, but Paris felt like the right time to try something different. I had been eager to showcase my pink suede blazer from The Toé. If you know me, you know I have a fondness for the pink-and-red color palette, which was the inspiration behind this outfit—albeit in a more subtle manner. I kept the foundation classic with a white T-shirt and jeans, then dressed them up with maroon-toned accessories from two well-known Parisian brands: a handbag from Gerard Darel and Veja x Baserange sneakers.
**Day 3**
On days three and four, I took a brief trip to Bordeaux—famous for its wine and canelés. Located in southwestern France, Bordeaux was much warmer than Paris, which justified my choice to wear a red two-piece set from Tyler McGillivary. If you haven’t visited Bordeaux yet, I highly recommend it. There's a wealth of sights and activities, and it’s only a two-hour train ride away. Plus, it's refreshing to see what other French cities have to offer beyond Paris.
That evening, our group enjoyed dinner at Symbiose, a charming, intimate, old-fashioned restaurant in the heart of Bordeaux, and I felt it was necessary to dress up for the occasion. I thought my floor-length, drop-waist dress might be too formal for the restaurant, but when in Bordeaux… Naturally, I brought my vintage Bally mini bag, the perfect accessory for a night out.
**Day 4**
My final day in Bordeaux included a visit to Darwin Ecosystem, a collaborative space filled with cafés, shops, and small businesses that support sustainability and creativity. Given the unseasonably warm weather, I chose a spring dress from Maeve (Anthropologie's little-sister brand) paired with classic black ballet flats from Dolce Vita. In my opinion, polka dots will always be in style.
**Day 5**
On my last day in Paris, I wanted to enjoy a relaxed day for myself. For a final outing in Le Marais, I wore a double-breasted peplum top from Niihai with my reliable straight-leg Uniqlo jeans. No bag was needed—just my Gerard Darel phone crossbody.
