Book Festival "Red Square": The Foundation "Illustrated Books for Young Blind Children" presented a new project "Symbols of Our Capital"

      At the XII Moscow Book Festival "Red Square," a presentation of the new project of the Foundation "Illustrated Books for Small Blind Children" took place — "Symbols of Our Capital." For over 30 years, the Foundation has been creating unique tactile and talking books for children with visual impairments, helping them explore the world through three-dimensional illustrations, sound, and interactive tasks.

      During the event, guests were introduced to the updated version of the book "Our Ancient Capital," created based on the poem by Natalia Konchalovskaya. The book was reissued in 2010, 2020, and 2025. The Foundation is currently working on a new talking coloring Atlas, which will be published with the support of the Mayor of Moscow's Grants. In the fall, children will receive these coloring books as gifts and will be able to prepare for the celebration of the 880th anniversary of the capital.

      Young participants of the festival took part in a quiz about Moscow, read poems, and colored illustrations from the future Atlas together with the project's authors.

      The Foundation's tradition of giving special tactile books to children with visual impairments has been made possible thanks to partners and patrons.
