This Sunday saw the premiere of the family film "Anything Can Happen in Summer. Escape from Skolbor," based on the bestseller by Sol Tai. On the red carpet were Natasha Koroleva with her son Arkhip and daughter-in-law Melissa, Alexey Vorobyov, Alexander Berdnikov with his family, Kirill Turichenko with his wife Daria, Dmitry Malikov with his wife and son, Anita Tsoy with her grandson, the author Sol Tai (who is also the screenwriter of the film), the film's director Alina Kurt, the dog Dark, also known as the Grumpy Wet-Nosed Dog, and other stars.

One of the first to arrive at the event was Alexey Vorobyov, who played the role of the main character's father in the film. He appeared on the carpet with his young co-star, actress Alisa Klagish.

The main theme of the film – children's dependence on gadgets – resonated with the personal experiences of one of the lead actors. Alexey Vorobyov, who played the role of the main character's father, admitted that working on the film deeply touched his heart.

"It coincided with my life events. The role of a father – not only in the movie but also in life. For me, it is incredibly pleasant," explained the singer. "I recently became a father (to my wife’s daughter, opera singer Aida Garifullina's daughter, Olivia), and she is about the same age as the character. This story helped me better understand how to find a balance between upbringing and freedom."

Vorobyov emphasized that the film made him rethink parenting strategies:

"I read the script through the lens of what I should have done in reality: what to do, where to find contact with the child, how to understand what they really want, and whether to prohibit at all. Because, for example, the character says: 'That's it, no gadgets until the end.' And I, as a person, understand: it’s pointless to just forbid the child. We need to understand why it’s so good, so interesting – to make ordinary life competitive compared to gadgets."

      What the film is about

"Escape from Skolbor" is a fresh take on children's cinema. The plot revolves around eleven-year-old Zlata (Alisa Klagish), who is so immersed in the virtual world that reality fades for her. When her father, for educational purposes, takes away all gadgets until autumn, the girl wishes to play without restrictions – and literally wakes up inside the game.

The virtual city of Skolbor initially seems like paradise, but the heroine quickly realizes that to escape, she needs to level up not her character, but herself – to learn to negotiate, trust, and act without cheat codes and hints.

The film is set to be released in wide distribution on June 25, 2026, and has every chance of becoming the main family cinematic event of this summer.
