      Sometimes, a great love story only requires perfect timing and the right support. For Alexis and Andrew, a brief meeting blossomed into a journey defined by patience, bravery, and the occasional assistance from friends.

      The story began in the summer of 2020 when Alexis was driving back to the city from the Hamptons with her best friend and Andrew's best friend. They made a stop at Andrew's house to pick up his brother. "The moment she walked in, I was completely captivated," Andrew recalls. "She possessed this natural beauty." The following spring, Alexis sent him a birthday message. Though Andrew asked her out to celebrate, she did not respond. "I thought that was a lost opportunity," he chuckles.

      A few months later, both Alexis and Andrew attended the same apartment party, but as they discovered later, it was no accident. "Our friends had secretly played matchmaker," Andrew explains. They clicked immediately, and the chemistry was evident. "There was definitely an attraction, but I made the first move," Alexis confesses. "He didn't have the confidence to ask me [out]. … I just went for it." The rest, as they say, is history.

      Their engagement was just as personal as their relationship. In November 2024, Andrew proposed in the Philippines, Alexis's family homeland. "I have always taken great pride in my Filipino heritage, and it has long been a dream of mine to incorporate my home into these significant moments," she shares. Nine days into their trip, they took a sunrise stroll along the beach at Amanpulo. As they reached the final stretch, Andrew knelt down. "It should have been a sign for Lex," Andrew mentions. "I’m not a morning person nor particularly fond of beaches." Nonetheless, he understood it was what she desired, having hinted repeatedly about wanting to be engaged on the beach at home. "[It's] what she deserved," he adds.

      Their celebrations in the Philippines continued beyond the engagement. Alexis had always envisioned marrying in the country. "It was a dream I held dearly," she shares. "When planning the wedding, we aimed to incorporate something from the Philippines, a special connection to where we became engaged and to Lex's culture," Andrew explains. "But we recognized travel would be challenging for many, so we opted for a small gathering." For their intimate vow ceremony, only their immediate families attended. "It was such a beautiful experience to bring my family to the Philippines for the first time [to] allow them to engage with Alexis's culture and spend quality time together," Andrew says.

      Following this, a larger celebration took place, which felt more like a vacation than a traditional wedding. "That's where Saint Bart's entered the picture: fantastic food, great music, and the perfect ambiance," Andrew explains.

      For their nuptials on May 2, 2026, the couple booked the oceanfront Hotel Christopher, privatizing it for 100 of their closest friends. "We wanted everyone to feel like they were entering our own little world," Alexis explains. "But we also aimed for our guests to genuinely experience Saint Bart's—its beauty, French charm, vibrant energy, and festive atmosphere. The idea was simple yet purposeful: one grand vacation with our favorite people." Therefore, they chose a multi-day format starting with a "Welcome to the island" party on Thursday.

      With golden sunsets, ocean breezes, and friends gathering to celebrate love, Alexis's bridal wardrobe played a significant role in the visual narrative of the weekend. She curated five archival looks (think Ralph Lauren from 2009 and Chloé during Phoebe Philo’s era), a custom two-piece skirt set from Lein, and a brand-new chiffon dress by Colleen Allen, which completed the weekend’s aesthetic seamlessly. We wanted to expose our guests to different parts of the island each night for a complete experience. The dress code was 'Saint Bart's elegante,' and we encouraged guests to fully embrace it.
