I Used to Be the Biggest Opponent of This Pant Trend—Now, It's What I Want to Wear All Summer Long.

      I have always been known for not being too fond of pants. I'm not the type of girl who tends to choose jeans, shorts, or trousers. I simply feel more like myself in a skirt. However, recently, I've found myself drawn to pants, all because of a unique pair of pantaloons. Cou Cou Intimates is a British brand that offers basics like pointelle tank tops and delicate skirts crafted from 100% organic cotton. Everything they produce transports you to the French countryside. When I visited their pop-up shop in New York earlier this month, I tried on their new pantaloons and instantly fell in love.

      According to Cou Cou, these pantaloons take inspiration from "vintage petticoats and Victorian underwear." They are relaxed and airy, featuring a drawstring waist and a ruffled trim with an adjustable side tie. They remind me of charming capris and feel much more whimsical than a scene from Sex And The City. I genuinely believe they are the most perfect pants I've ever encountered, especially in white.

      I’ve never included white pants in my summer wardrobe before, but the Cou Cou Intimates pantaloons have changed my perspective, and now I can’t envision going on vacation without them. White pants bring a sense of lightness to an outfit, embodying the essence of a refreshing breeze. They add a delicacy to a look that I previously thought could only be achieved with a skirt. Plus, I like that they would transition effortlessly from the beach paired with a bikini to a dinner outfit with a gingham halter top. So, count me as converted.
