No Burgundy, No Brown—The Upcoming Shoe Color Trend for Fall Has Arrived.
As we approach June and transition quickly into the heat of July, my thoughts are already drifting toward fall. Specifically, I’ve noticed that fall trends are emerging earlier than usual. Fashion enthusiasts are always ahead of the curve, and Indya Moore is certainly among them. She recently embraced a shoe color trend that's perfect for fall, but it wasn’t the typical burgundy or brown. While those shades are classic, Moore chose a much bolder option. While on her way to a Balmain dinner at the popular NYC restaurant Bridges, she was spotted in a sleek black satin dress featuring a deep neckline, paired with elegant pointed-toe pumps in a vibrant shade of violet. This striking pop of color was a fantastic complement to her understated black look. Her only accessory was a minimalist black envelope clutch, allowing her eye-catching shoes to take center stage. This shoe color trend looks particularly sophisticated with black, a color that is universally worn during the fall. Violet footwear was prominently showcased on the F/W 26 runways, with designers like Ferragamo, Dior, and Balenciaga highlighting this hue. I foresee that violet shoes, in various styles, will become mainstream by the end of August. Believe me—there will undoubtedly be a "purple reign" as we head into fall 2026.
If you're feeling inspired to experiment with bolder shoe colors before the fall arrives, continue scrolling to recreate Moore’s look and explore more violet shoe styles.
