I discovered the $90 designer-style pants that resemble the $280 pair that every trendy girl has.

Is it just me, or is everyone and their mother currently wearing poplin drawstring pants? I’m not surprised, considering we’re deep into summer and craving lightweight, versatile pieces that are both elevated and comfortable. With this demand, designers are producing numerous styles; however, none are as timeless or as sought after by fashionable celebrities as Leset's Kyoto Pants. From Kaia Gerber to Jennifer Lawrence and Katie Holmes, the most stylish A-listers who meld trendy with classic own these pants. These fashionistas are frequently seen styling Leset's effortlessly chic design with everything from open-knit sweaters and ballet flats to simple tees and refined flip-flops for trips to the farmers market or airport.

The Kyoto style features a relaxed leg silhouette that ends at the ankle, with topstitched utility panels in the front, an adjustable waistband, and patch pockets in the back. They are available in seven classic colors, such as dark brown and white, along with 11 seasonal shades, including coral and cobalt blue. I once tried on the Kyoto pants and instantly understood why they are a best seller and why no other brand could reproduce them. It's difficult to describe, but they belong to a category of their own. Nonetheless, other brands are attempting to replicate them in various ways—consider the wait-listed J.Crew Luna Pants and Gap's Poplin Easy Double-Knee Barrel Pants.

Today, I want to focus on the Gap version since it's a newer addition to the market, and not everyone is aware of it yet. These pants closely resemble the Kyoto pants in terms of design. They too have an elastic waistband, side welt pockets, back patch pockets, and exposed utilitarian-inspired stitching at the front. While they don't come in as many colors as the Kyoto pants, Gap seems to be gradually expanding their range, recently adding white and navy to the original brown, tan, and red options. The best feature of these pants, particularly for someone like me who is 5'1", is that they are available in various fits from regular to tall and petite.

One shopper on Gap’s site shared, "I love these pants. The fabric is lightweight and not stiff. They are roomy without appearing baggy." Another commented, "They are flattering and made from a great fabric." If that doesn’t persuade you, I’m not sure what will. Without further delay, keep scrolling to shop Gap's Poplin Easy Double-Knee Barrel Pants. If they are anything like J.Crew's Leset-like pants, they'll sell out in less than a week. You know what to do.
