The "Island of Dreams" is completing the commissioning tests of the American roller coaster "Flame of Speed": 500 test runs before the opening.

The amusement park "Dream Island" is moving to the final and one of the most responsible stages of preparing the new extreme roller coaster "Flame of Speed." The attraction will welcome its first visitors in August 2026 after completing a full cycle of technical tests and mandatory state certification.

During the commissioning works, engineers test the attraction in various operating modes, checking the operation of sensors, drives, braking systems, safety mechanisms, and software. After completing the technical tests, at least 500 runs with fully loaded water-filled dummies are planned. Then the attraction will undergo certification and testing by an independent laboratory and state registration with the OATI (Union of Administrative and Technical Inspections) of Moscow.

“‘Flame of Speed’ is one of the most technologically complex attractions in the open park. Currently, there are only two similar attractions in the world. High smoothness of movement is ensured by the precise geometry of the track and lightweight trains with a low center of gravity. The ergonomic seats are equipped with a high-tech restraint system with carbon waist bars, which has allowed us to reduce the minimum height for visiting the attraction to 120 centimeters. This is a rare figure for family extreme roller coasters of this class,” noted Mikhail Kondratiev, General Director of JSC "REGIONS-Entertainment."

The feature of "Flame of Speed" is the unusual arrangement of the trains. Instead of traditional rows, passengers are seated one behind the other, which opens up a panoramic view, and the feeling of speed and freedom becomes even more vivid. The track length is 631 meters, the height of the lift reaches 19 meters — the level of a seven-story building, and the maximum speed is 70 km/h. The route includes three inversions and 13 elements with a weightlessness effect, creating a rich and dynamic movement profile.

To deliver the structure to the site, about 30 full-size trucks were required, transporting more than 700 tons of equipment: columns, track sections, trains, station elements, and control systems.

"Flame of Speed" will be one of four roller coasters in the outdoor part of the park and one of the flagships of the themed area "Speed Territory." The opening of the new location of the amusement park is scheduled for August 1, 2026, with a festive opening on City Day in Moscow. After the launch of the new space, "Dream Island" will enter the top 5 amusement parks in the world by the number of mechanical attractions — there will be more than 60 in total, and the total number of themed universes will grow to 15. A ticket for the indoor and outdoor parts will be unified.
