An Elegant Barbecue Dinner and a Danielle Frankel Gown Create the Ambiance for This Fashion Editor's Wedding in Texas

      Every couple has a unique love story. Some meet in bustling bars, others through friends, and many now connect via dating apps. For Jordan Goldberg, fashion editor and consultant, and Adam Rossman, a KPMG manager, their journey began in a chemistry class at the University of Texas at Austin. "We formed a study group with a few classmates and quickly became good friends," shares Goldberg. "We were 'studying' almost daily, which was quite the effort for an entry-level science course, but we genuinely enjoyed it." Before long, study sessions evolved into dinner outings and concerts, though Goldberg maintains their early relationship was strictly platonic.

      However, things shifted when Goldberg invited Rossman to the JMBLYA music festival in Austin. "He kissed me right in the middle of a performance," she recalls. "I was so taken aback that I actually asked him why he kissed me." Meanwhile, Rossman thought of the concert as a proper date. "Since it was just the two of us, I decided to go for it," he explains. "It wasn’t planned, but it felt right at the moment." Their undeniable chemistry turned their friendship into something much deeper. "There was this unspoken understanding that this was a significant moment," reflects Goldberg.

      After graduating, the couple relocated to New York City, where their bond grew stronger as they navigated new jobs and adulthood. Three years later, they moved into a one-bedroom apartment on Astor Place together, leading to discussions about marriage. They imagined getting engaged in 2025, but Rossman had other ideas.

      During a snowy weekend in November 2024, they visited the Sagamore Resort in Lake George. "We drove up on a Friday morning in his parents' car, and Adam was surprisingly calm the entire ride," Goldberg recalls. "He even connected his phone to CarPlay, which, looking back, was quite daring [since his messages could appear on the screen]!" After settling into their hotel, Rossman proposed at a scenic viewpoint. "I was completely shocked," Goldberg shares. "Luckily, he had hired a photographer, so we could relive the moment because I can’t remember if he got down on one knee." The celebration continued back in NYC with family and friends.

      When it came time to plan the wedding, selecting the location was straightforward: They chose Texas to honor where their story began. The modern design of the Arlo Hotel provided Goldberg with the ideal blank canvas for her creative vision, and the courtyard's impressive tree sealed the deal. "The moment we saw it, I knew we’d marry beneath it," she shares.       Jordan Goldberg: "We held our welcome dinner at Stubb's BBQ, a renowned concert venue in Austin. The dress code was 'Western chic,' which let our guests embrace the Texas vibe. And they definitely showed up! There were bolo ties, cowboy hats, lots of fringe, and denim on denim. We loved it! Guests arrived around 6:30 p.m. and were welcomed with buckets of beer, wildflowers on every table, and a country band playing classic hits (think George Strait and Luke Bryan!)."

      JG: "I wore a fringe dress from Bevza's resort 2026 collection. The moment I spotted it on Moda Operandi, I knew it would be perfect for our Western-themed Friday night. I wanted something that felt like a modern twist on country fashion. The beautiful corsetry and woven details made the gown feel contemporary, while the fringe provided that Western flair. I styled my hair in a French twist secured with my mom's wedding barrette and accessorized with Schutz heels, Dorsey earrings, and an aquamarine cocktail ring from Adam’s late grandmother."

      JG: "Adam opted for boots and a white button-down shirt from Tecovas, paired with light blue Rag & Bone jeans and a custom cowboy hat."

      JG: "After everyone settled for dinner, we had four speeches: My best friend Molly; three of Adam’s childhood friends; Adam’s best man and older brother, Evan; and finally Adam's sister Natalie. The speeches were fantastic. They recounted the journey of our relationship over the past nine years and how much we’ve grown together."

      JG: "The biggest surprise of the evening came when my sister, Natalie, performed alongside my dad, Joel. He played the guitar while Natalie sang 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran. We had been pleading with my
