      I'm always surrounded by fashionable women. Between the stylish colleagues I see every day and the influx of celebrity outfits I monitor for work, I have no shortage of outfit inspiration. Recently, I've observed a recurring outfit formula emerging within these style circles. Suddenly, jeans and loafers have been replaced as the go-to look, with fashion enthusiasts opting for capri pants paired with kitten-heel flip-flops for nearly every occasion. If this pairing has become the summer 2026 equivalent of jeans and loafers, there's a good reason behind it. Not only did I spot this combination multiple times around the office this week, but I also saw it twice at the same event, where both Vittoria Ceretti and Kylie Jenner donned nearly identical outfits.

      The first one that caught my attention was Kylie, who appeared at last week's World Cup in sleek, knee-length capri pants styled with this season's must-have shoe trend. Kitten-heel flip-flops have surpassed strappy sandals and slingbacks to become a favorite among fashion enthusiasts. With a low heel, they provide elevation without compromising comfort, while the minimalist flip-flop design adds a desirable '90s flair to any outfit. Though the cropped hem of the capris can visually shorten the leg, the slight height from a kitten heel helps to balance proportions, creating a longer, more streamlined silhouette that suits high-summer looks.
