Contrary to what many might think, fashion guidelines and styling techniques can become just as outdated as certain trends. Ultimately, everyone should feel free to wear whatever they desire, and we're here to present you with the most up-to-date styles. Speaking of which, there's a styling technique that could be making a return this fall that you might not expect. Whether you've been applying it consistently or have taken a break from it, it's definitely something to keep in mind for the upcoming season. The styling method I'm referring to is one that Katie Holmes was recently seen using with her jeans. I haven't noticed it much in recent years, but her styling reminded me of how chic it can be. Holmes's ensemble was composed of essential wardrobe pieces, including a light blue button-down shirt, straight-leg jeans, and black flats. She added a large Louis Vuitton travel duffel bag as her accessory. However, the standout feature of her outfit was how she styled it. She employed the half-tuck technique (which is inspired by the French tuck) with her button-down and jeans. The half-tuck involves tucking one side of your shirt into your bottoms while leaving the other side out. Why do I believe this might be trending again in fashion? Another celebrity, Claire Foy, also sported a very similar look this week, pairing a button-down with jeans. She finished her outfit with flip-flops instead of flats, a red woven bag, and of course, a half-tucked shirt.
