Minimalists, take heed: You are about to delve into the mindset of an extreme overpacker. Regardless of whether I'm escaping for three days or three weeks, I inevitably end up with a plethora of outfit choices and an extensive collection of beauty products in my suitcase. After all, you never know when the desire to apply an exfoliating mask or experiment with a sparkly new eyeshadow palette will strike. (Is it just me?) So, for my significant summer trip—which included a wedding in Denver, a week spent with family in Texas, and a honeymoon in the south of France—I was aware that my checked baggage would exceed 23KG. (Apologies to my husband for having to carry that bag over the European cobblestones.) Nonetheless, I tried to be strategic with my makeup case, focusing on multitasking products that would simplify my routine and make me feel polished after a long journey. This included a cream blush that also served as a lovely lip tint, a brightening serum that eliminated the need for highlighter, a sunscreen that acted as a rich moisturizer, and many others which are listed below. Did I pack considerably more than these 10 products? Absolutely. I never claimed I could break my chronic overpacking habit. However, here are the 10 essentials I found most useful and, if I had been more foresighted, they would have been the only items I took.

**My 10 Favourite Skincare and Makeup Products for Travel**

I tend to wake up quite red and blotchy (especially after long travel days), so starting my mornings with this soothing, aloe-based toner was essential. I used it every day post-cleansing to help rebalance and hydrate my skin, which has never looked more serene.

After applying my cherished mandelic acid serum, I follow up with four drops of the brand's Storm Serum, which further calms my travel-stressed skin barrier and addresses discolouration. I skip moisturizer afterward (it's that hydrating) and it leaves the most beautiful dewy finish. I didn’t even touch my highlighter!

As soon as I arrived in France, I made sure to grab a new bottle of my favourite Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse. This quick-absorbing oil gives my skin a lovely sheen without the stickiness, and the scent of vanilla, magnolia, and orange blossom is heavenly. No need for perfume. I applied it every morning before heading to the beach, and added an extra spritz on my collarbones and shoulders before dinner.

As I mentioned, I haven’t been using moisturizer during the day. Instead, I apply the hydrating serum, then finish my routine with this Mineral Milk Sunscreen from Summer Fridays. With zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for sun protection, the formula is enriched with ceramides, glycerin, and numerous antioxidants for hydration and protection. So yes, it's genuinely moisturizing enough to use on its own.

Yes, Hailey Bieber's much-buzzed-about bronzer lives up to the hype. Creamy and easy to blend, it consistently gives me a naturally sun-kissed glow. I apply it on my cheeks, hairline, eyelids, and the bridge of my nose for a warm, radiant effect, without using blush. Trust me, it appears incredibly natural.

That doesn’t mean I skip blush completely! On days when I want a more feminine, rosy finish, Prada's cream-to-powder blush is perfect. I apply it on the same spots mentioned earlier (cheeks, hairline, eyelids, and nose) for a more subtle hue and a dab on my lips for a monochromatic look. If I could choose only one makeup product for the entire summer, it would definitely be this versatile blush.

With a plumping, ceramide-infused formula that’s as refined as its rosy-brown color, Anfisa's Ân-Gloss is the ultimate skincare-makeup fusion. It’s a must-have on every flight, as it's sure to deeply hydrate my lips in the air and provide a lovely wash of color for my post-airport outings.

Some prefer blotting papers, but I’m more inclined towards pressed powder for touch-ups. This Guerlain pressed powder has become my nonnegotiable go-to, as it subtly corrects color while blurring pores. Not to mention, the compact is beautifully designed. I’d carry it everywhere for that alone, but it also excels at absorbing excess oil without making my skin look overly matte.

My essential complexion product, whether I’m traveling or not, is Merit's The Minimalist, which embodies the essence of multitasking. I often use it as my full base (combined with Rhode's Highlight Milk – thank me later), but on days when I prefer a bit of coverage, I utilize it for spot concealing specific areas of discolouration. It works flawlessly every time.

You'll never find me without a hydrating face mist in my summer bag. Right now, I'm
