Jasmine Tookes discusses '90s supermodel makeup and reveals the one technique that gives her eyelashes a fuller appearance.

"I've always enjoyed the creative aspect of makeup," the seasoned runway model, beauty brand creator, and mother of two told Who What Wear. "Early in my modeling journey, I got the chance to observe some incredibly skilled makeup artists on set and found myself constantly asking questions because I was intrigued by how minor techniques could dramatically enhance a look. That's when I truly fell in love with the art of makeup. Every photoshoot and runway experience felt like an opportunity to learn, and I adored seeing how makeup could accentuate your features, set a mood, or even narrate a story." Perhaps one day we'll see Tookes behind the makeup chair (never say never!), but it's evident that her on-set lessons have profoundly benefited her. A quick scroll through her TikTok "Get Ready With Me" videos and you'll see: Tookes has an impressive grasp of technique. She's even mastered notoriously challenging eye makeup, making her an ideal collaborator for Ilia's new Thru Line Waterproof Eyeliner.       Before focusing on her eye makeup, she starts by perfecting her other hallmark: a radiant, sun-kissed complexion. "I usually begin with Ilia's Super Serum Skin Tint in Dominica ST14 and Honopu ST14.5 for a naturally flawless base, adding some warmth with bronzer while keeping the rest of my skin fresh and glowing before detailing my eyes," she explains.
