Similar to the fabric, this manicure embodies a soft, understated, and sophisticated aesthetic. Instead of the bright whites typically seen in French tips, linen nails draw their color palette from the fabric itself: think creamy ivory, oat, beige, and warm ecru. The outcome is a gentler, more natural-looking manicure that isn't excessively polished. For me, it encapsulates everything I adore about linen, expressed through my fingertips. The allure is clear, as manicurist Hannah Taylor explains. "Clients often desire something polished and flattering without appearing too 'done,'" she notes. With their warm neutral shades, linen nails are highly versatile and remain appealing as we move into autumn.
How to Achieve Linen Nails at Home
Taylor offers this advice for recreating the look: "Keep the application fairly sheer and gradually build up the color, as that translucent quality is what imparts a soft, natural appearance to linen nails."
