Wake up, kids, the Pogues are back. This sun-bleached, struggling group of stunning teens can't escape the high-stakes drama, and it's all coming to a climax for a thrilling conclusion in Outer Banks. At the heart of the chaos is Madelyn Cline, who portrays Sarah Cameron, a former Kook now Pogue princess, in the action-adventure series. Remember the time she nearly died from a gunshot wound from her brother? Or when she was kidnapped by her stepmother to flee the country with her father, who had faked his death? Or when she fell off a boat during a massive tropical storm? Just another day in the Outer Banks. As the show enters its final season, Cline's character is pregnant, stranded in Morocco, and on a quest for a crown that can allegedly bring the dead back to life. One can only imagine the chaos ahead.
Cline's personal life is its own kind of whirlwind—less treasure hunting and more “no sleep, bus, club, another club.” However, she did take some valuables from a luxury mansion in Sabrina Carpenter's "House Tour" music video. “I love girlhood,” she shares about the shoot, which included many “girl-talk cuddle puddles” between takes. While filming the last 10 episodes of OBX, she's also starring with Johnny Depp and Penélope Cruz in Day Drinker, and alongside Glen Powell and Cristin Milioti in Judd Apatow's The Comeback King, all while balancing campaigns for Revlon, Sanpellegrino, and Dossier.
Even with a busy schedule, Cline values a fun night out occasionally. While shooting OBX in Charleston, “we often visited a dive bar called Big Gun,” she recalls. “I somehow left my sock on an antler. It perfectly sums up a fun night with the cast.” This captures Cline’s essence: deadpan, playful, and someone who knows how to make an impact.
Back in L.A., she trades the dive bar for a karaoke spot in West Hollywood (“I love my friends, and I love giving them a microphone,” she says), but regardless of where she goes, she carries a selection of beauty essentials. Cline, I say this with great envy, can do her makeup anytime, anywhere: using a highlight balm in the bathroom, a lip combo between karaoke sets, or an eyeshadow stick at the dinner table. Perhaps it's due to her constantly on-the-go lifestyle, but it helps that she has stunning features to work with. As DJ Chantel Jeffries put it on Instagram, Cline has a face that “belongs in a museum.”
"I’m pretty low-maintenance, so I prefer multitasking products that don’t take up much space," Cline explains. Ahead, discover the exact products she stashes in her pink Prada tote. "I don’t care where it is, but I do need good lighting," she states regarding her ideal glam station. As long as she has her friends and a decent vanity mirror, she can get ready in almost any situation. Her makeup bag is just as adaptable, filled with easy-to-use multitasking products that she can apply to her eyelids, lips, and cheeks quickly.
As for her night-out look, "I love a freshly tanned, glowy, bronzy beat," she says. (Think: Cline's radiant makeup at the Outer Banks season 5 premiere in L.A., thanks to celebrity makeup artist Jen Tioseco.) "I add a smoked-out dark brown liner and perhaps a shimmer wash on my eyes, a sculpted brow, and finish with some freckles." In terms of her go-to products, she's quick to highlight essentials from Revlon (of which she has been an ambassador since 2024), including the PhotoReady Insta-Sculpt Bronzer & Contour Stick. “[It’s] fantastic because you can bring warmth and definition without it looking overdone, and I love pairing it with the Glimmer Shadow Multi-Stick for a bit of extra sparkle,” she shares.
In her bag—a "really darling" pink Prada Moon that holds all her night-out necessities without feeling bulky—she also carries Revlon's Glimmer Lip Treat Balm + Mask and Super Balm as more multitaskers. "I love having hydrated lips, and the new summer shades provide an easy, sheer wash of color that's very natural," she says about the tinted lip color, praising the Super Balm’s foolproof formula and dewy finish. "
