I’m known for being picky about denim—these new jeans are the only ones I want to wear this fall.

I’m known for being picky about denim—these new jeans are the only ones I want to wear this fall.

The moment has arrived. The linen trousers are gradually being stored away, making room for something a bit more durable: jeans. As someone who openly loves denim (I have more pairs than I can count or comfortably fit in my closet), I consider myself somewhat of a denim connoisseur. Therefore, when I learned that one of my favorite brands was introducing its first denim line, I was instantly intrigued. Indeed, the With Nothing Underneath jeans have finally launched—and they surpass my expectations.

Unsurprisingly, Shopping Editor Florrie and I had to put them through their paces, and we were immediately attracted to two distinct styles. Florrie chose the Crawford, a sleek straight-leg—or stovepipe—jean named after Cindy Crawford herself. Picture a '90s off-duty supermodel: timeless, understated, and effortlessly chic, featuring a streamlined silhouette ideal for pairing with white shirts, cashmere sweaters, and loafers.

Meanwhile, I gravitated towards the Fawcett. With a broader cut through the leg and a hint of '70s flair, they embody cool-girl denim at its finest. The fit strikes a perfect balance between relaxed and polished, creating a wide silhouette that remains intentional without being overpowering.

Completing the collection is the Stevie, which pays homage to another iconic dresser and presents a fresh interpretation of WNU’s sophisticated denim style. Together, these three designs encompass the essential silhouettes I desire from my jeans: a classic straight leg, a trendy wide leg, and an option for those seeking a middle ground. With autumn approaching, the timing couldn't be more perfect. Continue scrolling to find out how Florrie fared with the Crawford and the Fawcett, and shop the new denim collection from With Nothing Underneath below.

Florrie Alexander, Shopping Editor: I appreciate a stiff, well-structured pair of jeans that retains its shape, and the Crawford delivers just that. They feature the ideal straight-leg, almost stovepipe design that feels refined without being overly slim, while the high-rise waist has a lengthening effect—especially beneficial for my 5'2" height. The mid-blue wash is virtually perfect: classic, versatile, and precisely the hue I want as autumn approaches. I plan to wear mine with everything from basic tees and lightweight cardigans to chunky knits and loafers.

Marina Avraam, Senior Shopping Editor: Wide-leg jeans can be challenging to pull off, particularly at 5'2", but the Fawcett completely impressed me. Instead of overwhelming my frame, they sit beautifully high on the waist and flow into a relaxed, wide leg that embodies '70s style without crossing into retro territory. I especially appreciate the weight of the denim—it provides the wider silhouette with enough structure to feel refined while remaining comfortable for daily wear. Coupled with the perfectly balanced mid-blue wash, I can already envision these becoming my go-to jeans for autumn paired with a tucked-in shirt, fitted knit, and ballet flats.

The Stevie adds a more casual vibe to the collection, featuring a flattering high-rise waist and easy, wide-leg silhouette that maintains a polished look instead of feeling too relaxed. The structured denim lends just the right weight to hang beautifully, while the classic blue wash ensures versatility. Wear them with a crisp white shirt and loafers now, transitioning to a chunky knit and boots as the autumn chill sets in.
