My Beauty Routine Thrives in the Fall—These 5 Brands Are Essential
Shop in Shop is a monthly feature focused on highlighting the newest arrivals, seasonal trends, and styles from our favorite brands and retailers. Whether you refer to it as the winter arc or "the great lock-in," fall is the time when beauty routines truly flourish—especially mine. I'm applying eyeshadow. I’m engaging in red-light therapy before bed. I’m swapping my slick-back buns for heat-styled looks. Everything changes once there’s a brisk chill in the air, and I’m not complaining about it. In fact, I feel quite the opposite—it means I can channel all my efforts into looking my best without the worry of sweat ruining my makeup or humidity affecting my hair. I can't navigate this significant transition without relying on my go-to brands. In this piece, I explore hair, makeup, and skincare with a strong focus on self-care. The products range from $6 to $350 and feature popular brand Shark Beauty, fashion staple Quince, and the classics like Walmart, CVS, and eos. Enjoy!
The editors at Who What Wear are very familiar with Shark Beauty devices. We adore the brand's highly popular tools (CryoGlow, I’m looking at you), but we also appreciate the hair tools that effortlessly transform type 4 curls and dry thick hair with ease. Fall is the time for silk presses, blowouts, and heat-styled hair, so trust me when I say that I will gladly rely on the Shark Flexstyle® IonCurl Air Styler & Curler for all my styling needs. I also tend to take my self-care regimen more seriously during this season, so the Depuffi will soon become a staple on my vanity.

If you’re like me, you’ve likely been spending time browsing the fashion and home sections on Quince while overlooking the beauty section. That changes today. Quince offers some of my favorite skincare and wellness brands, such as True Botanicals, Supergoop!, Fresh, and more. I love being able to shop for the latest fashion trends alongside my self-care essentials in one location. Take a look at my fall skincare and body care lineup below.

CVS isn't just my go-to for a last-minute toothbrush or tweezers before a trip. It's where I find budget-friendly beauty favorites, including products from brands like Beauty of Joseon, Olaplex, and more. Honestly, I tend to experiment more with my makeup in the fall and winter to balance out my somewhat dull cold-weather outfits. It’s far more enjoyable to play with makeup without the concern of wasting an expensive product.

My history with eos goes way back. I started with the original lip balm in middle school and later upgraded to the classic shaving cream and body sprays. My current favorite is the Dewy Lip Shine. I keep at least two tubes in my purse at all times and distribute others throughout my apartment for quick touch-ups. As we transition into autumn, I'm finishing off all my lip combinations with this hydrating shine and generously applying the whipped oil butter on my body until further notice.

I don’t know if I would be the beauty editor I am today if I hadn't spent my childhood getting lost in the Walmart beauty aisles while my mother shopped for groceries. Fast forward twenty years, and now I mainly browse online. This is to say: Don’t overlook Walmart for fragrance options. If you enjoy changing your scents with the seasons, Walmart offers everything from luxury fragrances to body sprays under $50
