This new fragrance for spring and summer combines "Italian Citrus Grove with the French Riviera."
It's 2 PM on a Tuesday, and you're lounging on a blue and white-striped beach chair in Miami. The rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the shoreline fills the air while the blazing sun gradually evaporates the water off your skin. You inhale the scents of salt, sand, and citrus—not from the orange drink resting in your lap, but from a new perfume you adore so much that you brought it to the beach. You spray it on your skin once more before tucking it back into your beach bag. This isn’t just a random daydream; it’s a memory from my recent trip to Miami. I was fortunate enough to escape the cold of the Midwest for the sunny beaches of South Beach, and even more fortunate to discover my new favorite fragrance. (As a beauty editor, the perfume was my primary focus.) Ahead, you’ll see the unique new scent I plan to wear throughout the spring and summer of 2025.
**The 7 Virtues**
**Clementine Dream Eau De Parfum With Vanilla**
**Notes:** Mandarin, cassis, magnolia, vanilla, black amber
The 7 Virtues is a fragrance brand focused on clean, sustainable sourcing. Its perfumes are hypoallergenic, vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free. They exclude phthalates, parabens, sulfates, formaldehyde, or UV inhibitors and utilize sugarcane alcohol. Notably, The 7 Virtues incorporates over 20% pure fragrance oil in its perfumes for long-lasting effects (the brand claims its fragrances last 24 hours, with a presence that can linger for up to 72 hours). Most citrus fragrances tend to fade quickly due to the nature of citrus as a top note, leaving only a faint trace on the skin. This is partly why it took Barbara Stegemann, the CEO and founder of The 7 Virtues, a year and a half to perfect the Clementine Dream Eau de Parfum. Initially, this fragrance presents a vibrant, juicy aroma reminiscent of freshly peeled clementines. As it settles, you can detect the green, herbal scent of citrus leaves. Ultimately, it reveals grounding notes of vanilla, cassis, and magnolia, evoking the warm sun that encourages trees to bloom and thrive. Unlike many simple citrus scents, this one offers a comprehensive experience. It allows me to embrace the lively essence of spring and summer while still exuding sophistication. Stegemann encapsulated it perfectly by stating that Clementine Dream is "Italian Citrus Grove Meets French Riviera."

I readily acknowledge that citrus scents can spark debate. Some people are fans, while others shy away from them, recalling early-2000s fragrances that ventured into overly sweet, orange juice-like aromas. However, I genuinely believe that when a citrus fragrance is executed *well,* it transforms everything. It's true—enhanced citrus scents exist, and some are potent enough to win over even the staunchest skeptics. This fragrance is a prime example, which is why I encourage you to try it, regardless of your stance on citrus scents. You may be surprised by how much you enjoy it. As for myself, I am an enthusiastic supporter. It’s no exaggeration to say I’ll be wearing it throughout spring and summer.

**Coconut Sun Eau De Parfum**
**Notes:** Coconut, frangipani, vanilla
This is another The 7 Virtues fragrance I adore. It has the scent of sunscreen in the best possible way—evoking warm, sweet, sun-drenched days spent at the beach. I love it so much that I layer it with Clementine Dream for the ultimate summer fragrance. (Check out expert tips on how to layer perfumes.)
**Henry Rose**
**Windows Down Eau De Parfum**
**Notes:** Grapefruit, jasmine, bergamot, musk
This perfume brings to mind the energy of a summer road trip. It’s fresh, breezy, and nearly perfect.

**Tangerine Boy Eau De Parfum**
**Notes:** Tangerine, lemon, amber
Here’s another citrus scent I adore. Phlur's Tangerine Boy is a gender-neutral fragrance that melds seamlessly with the skin. It’s bright, fresh, and simply cool.
**Juliette Has a Gun**
**Miami Shake Eau De Parfum**
**Notes:** Wild strawberry, ice cream cone, vanilla absolute
If you enjoy gourmand scents, this one is for you. Reminiscent of strawberries and whipped cream, it’s warm, sweet, and just plain fun. It offers a modern twist on the classic Y2K fragrances from high school.
