After what seems like an endless winter, I’m more ready than ever to swap my daily wool coat for something lighter. However, that doesn’t mean I’m rushing to my favorite stores just yet. In an effort to avoid acquiring anything new, I plan to reinvent the items in my closet by recreating some outfits I have bookmarked on Pinterest.

Even as a stylist, discovering that perfect outfit combination that’s just right for the unpredictable spring weather can be a challenge. But, the opportunity to showcase the ideal spring look is brief, so putting off outfit planning until the last minute probably won’t be enough.

Fortunately, if you’re anything like me, you’ve been preparing for this moment since the sun began setting before 5 p.m. With a collection of easy-to-duplicate outfits ready to be tried out, I believe I have my go-to spring ensembles sorted. Keep reading for 10 Pinterest outfits I’ll be creating this spring.

      1. A Button-Down + Loose Jeans + Clogs

Button-down shirts are incredibly versatile and timeless, making them a wardrobe essential year-round. You can wear them solo, layer them under a sweater, or tuck them into jeans with a cardigan draped over your shoulders for an effortlessly chic vibe—regardless of the temperature.

      2. A Trench Coat + Hoodie + Loafers

On days when I’m out running errands or just relaxing at home, I enjoy throwing a trench coat over my hoodie. This contrasting combination transforms my casual hoodie into something stylish and desirable. Pairing this with a luxurious set of flats or loafers instantly puts me in the mood to venture out and flaunt my new look.

      3. A Cardigan + Trousers + Sneakers

To transition your trousers from office-appropriate to weekend-ready, simply pair them with softer, contrasting items like a cardigan or sneakers—or, in this case, both. Because this outfit primarily consists of laid-back pieces, the trousers feel relaxed rather than stuffy. While the belt is optional, it does add more depth to the outfit.

      4. A Blazer + Tee + Track Pants

If you’re familiar with the "wrong-shoe theory," you'll understand that the same principle applies to outerwear (like wearing a trench coat with a hoodie). While one might typically pair track pants with a sporty jacket, choosing a blazer instead creates a much more intriguing look. If heels aren’t your style with track pants, consider ballet flats or sneakers to complete the ensemble.

      5. A Denim Jacket + Jeans + Ankle Boots

When in doubt, you can never go wrong with denim-on-denim. The key to pulling off a full denim outfit is not to obsess over perfectly matching your top and bottom; the more variation, the better. To elevate a Canadian tuxedo, opt for a more polished footwear choice like loafers or ankle boots.

      6. A Sweatshirt + Sneakers + Midi Skirt

While sneakers and a sweatshirt are a natural pairing, adding a skirt is a combination we often overlook. Sticking to the "wrong-shoe theory," select your sportiest sneakers and a logo-free sweatshirt for a comfortable yet chic look.

      7. A Trench Coat + Baseball Hat + Button-Down

This layered look is both functional and fashionable, keeping me warm during those early spring mornings that start off chilly but warm up quickly. The baseball cap adds a relaxed, cool vibe, making it perfect for all weekend activities.

      8. A Long Sleeve Tee + Cuffed Jeans + Mary Janes

I’m a big fan of a classic white tee, but a long-sleeve version? Even better—I'd happily take 14 of them. A cotton long-sleeve is like wearing a warm hug that also serves as an easy layer. In early spring, I enjoy wearing mine over a tank or wrapped around my shoulders, particularly on days when the weather is unpredictable.

      9. A White Tank + Draped Cardigan + Cargo Pants

If you know me personally, you’re aware that I practically live in cargo pants, likely because they serve as a perfect alternative to denim and add a subtle flash of color that jeans and trousers don’t. Whatever the reason, I’ll be welcoming the new season with my cargos, which means I’m saving every cargo-inspired outfit I can find—this one included.

      10. A Midi Dress + Cardigan + Ballet Flats

I relish the challenge of bringing new life to an old summer dress. Many people store theirs away as soon as fall rolls in, but I believe winter whites are too tempting to completely abandon my white midis and maxis. To pass the ultimate cool-girl test, pair your winter cardigan with a summer dress—complete with ballet
