      While Punxsutawney Phil is the classic way to forecast the arrival of warmer weather, since relocating to New York City, my local ice cream truck has become my signal for the beginning of spring. With the catchy tune of The Entertainer growing louder as I walk from the subway to my apartment, I know it’s about time to trade in my winter coats for vibrant spring jackets (and perhaps treat myself to an ice cream bar covered in sprinkles). Although most mornings still have a chill, warmer days are on the horizon.
