One of my favorite pastimes is watching TV and movies, so I always welcome the chance to write about the entertainment industry. I’ve created shopping stories inspired by The White Lotus and Palm Royale, and I’ve covered reboots of The Devil Wears Prada and Freaky Friday. Now, I'm focusing on another beloved title: Pride & Prejudice. According to Entertainment Weekly, Netflix is reviving the classic Jane Austen tale that was famously adapted into a 2005 film featuring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen. Today, we learned more about the new cast. Emma Corrin will portray Elizabeth Bennet, Jack Lowden is set to be our new Mr. Darcy, and Olivia Colman will play Mrs. Bennet. Isn’t that a fantastic lineup? As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Netflix's adaptation will be a six-episode series rather than a movie. The series will be written by Dolly Alderton, author of the popular books Good Material and Everything I Know About Love, and directed by Euros Lyn, known for his work on Doctor Who and Heartstopper.
